Take a swing at some of our many beloved golf/ mini golf courses. The Forrest favourite is the glow in the dark mini golf course only two suburbs over at Powerkart Raceway! 

Fancy some food by the lake? Hire a Stand Up Paddle Board and grab some fish & chips at the Yacht Club or have a picnic on the lake with our GoBoats and ferries. 

View Canberra from the skies on a Hot Air Balloon ride or explore our nature trails with a hire bike/mountain bike.

CANBERRA WILDLIFE

Visit the National Zoo & Aquarium to see over 200 animals from around the world or go to the Canberra Reptile Zoo and hold a snake!

Walk around the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve or book a tour to see Canberra's floodplain landscape and wetland resource at the Jerrabomberra Wetlands to observe Australian animals in their natural habitat. For the nocturnal animals, see them come alive at night with the Twilight Tours at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary. 

If you would rather take a look at Australian plants, visit the Australian National Botanical Gardens or the National Arboretum. 

Canberra is also home to the unique Cockington Green Gardens. A showcase of the world's monuments, buuldings and events, just in miniature size. 

WANT TO STAY OUT OF THE SUN

Visit Questacon! The Nationl Science & Technology Centre. Have fun interacting with all the science exhibits & experiments or go blow up something in one of their many science shows. 

If history is more your thing, take a trip to the National Dinosaur Muesuem. They have fossils and real scale dinosaur models! Or visit the Australian War Memorial to get a glimpse of what it was like during the wars. Take a look at the Truth, Power and a Free Press exhibit. This showcases journalism throughout the years and demonstrates why journalism is so important to uncover the truth. 

FORREST HOTEL LOVERS

If you're not keen on travelling too far, take advantage of the hotel's location and visit Manuka Village or the Manuka Pool. Choose from over 20 cafes and restaurants to dine in and explore the boutique shops Manaka has to offer. The pool is only a 10 minute walk away from us, why not take advantage of it this summer!
